Poem about Inequality

Now, as we near the end of this blogpost, before we do conclude, we would like to share a poem written by a private group of friends.

For privacy's sake, we'll be not naming the names of the actual members, but the name of the group. I would love to introduce them as their name: Rhomancae.

So, they have made one poem, that them being Sonnet on this week's theme and topic.

The Sonnet:

In shadows cast by stark inequality's weight,
A world divided, fortune's hand unseen,
In wealth or poverty, we contemplate,
The complex tapestry of what has been.

From income gaps to gender's cruel divide,
The heavy cost, both seen and felt, we bear,
But hope for brighter futures must abide,
Injustice fought, a more just world we share.

Yet in this journey, let us not forget,
The many facets of inequality's face,
It's not just income, but we must beset,
Inequity's grip, in every single place.

In knowledge and in action, we must strive,
To make a world where all can truly thrive.

Now that you have read their poem, were they a bit of an escape from how usually a blog post ends, and also was it a bit of fun reading? If you want to share your opinions on the poem, please do comment, it's always great reading them.
